Pros

lot of time off due to the work roster, you know when you are off so can plan holidays and whatnot well in advance (ryanair follows a 5 on, 3 off roster). A lot of great customers 10% commission on sales

Cons

Unreasonable targets set for sales and failure to hit them can result in meetings Staff are constantly unappreciated and only receive "bonuses" (prizes provided by the companies of products we sell onboard such as heineken) if you sell and you are constantly pitted against fellow cabin crew Training is not thorough enough, I passed my exams 100% yet still didn't know half the things required of me which is incredibly unsafe No food provided Not enough rest provided Only paid for flying hours, not if you are delayed or doing turnarounds A lot of drunk, rude, unappreciative customers (always the way with customer service jobs but in 7 years of customer service jobs I've never experienced anything like this) You have to pay over £1.5k for training (which is inadequate) You have to pay for uniform No decent discounts for staff, most "discounted" flights are more expensive than flying as a regular passenger More concerned about how much money they make than the wellbeing of their staff Unfair and sexist grooming regulations (having to have my nails painted every day has made them very unhealthy and lipstick every day has made my lips constantly dry, the hair regulations have made my hair weak and brittle, my feet and back are always sore due to the heels I have to wear and I've spent a great deal more on extra requirements than my male counterparts)

Pros

Good opportunities to grow and do career, u pay ur course when you start but if you get a nice base u are lucky. Working hard but nice colleagues and nice crew

Cons

They choose ur base at the beginning so u may be unlucky and stay stuck in a place that u don t like. Everything is focused on sales more than safety but overall is nice
