Great Team, Lots of Change, Growth Driven

Pros

Worked with some really great people, Management was flexible with work style and schedules. Seem committed to innovation and recognize (finally) the impact of technology on the markets and on business processes. Strong investment in IT currently happening under direction of new IT leadership team.

Cons

Bringing an older family run style business up to the 21st century in technology and processes is not without some pain. Benefits were not the best, but adequate for my needs at the time.

With the company being a bit smaller and quieter, the advancement for IT is minimal. Lots of long term committed employees not looking to leave

Pros

Decent pay, decent benefits and easy commute are what kept me here as long as I was. Challenging job. Good co-workers that felt my pain in corporate frustration.

Cons

No work/life balance. 70 hours a week with constant demand for more work to do. Salary was good, but not worth the loss of family time. I asked for a program to better do my job and was met with nothing but "Excel should be enough."
