Pros

- A lot of friendly and helpful people.

Cons

- It seems like cost-cutting was handled immaturely, with some excellent long-serving employees simply being let go. There should have at least been an attempt to make these voluntary, especially given the current economic climate. - There's a notion that we should see Roxor as an ambitious, young start-up, but it's weighed down by many years of bureaucracy, inefficiencies, and politics that we carried over from Gamesys. This isn't going away. - As the company outsources more to SA and India, job security within London feels very questionable.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we really do appreciate and take onboard your feedback, particularly around sensitive areas such as cost cutting. We’re pleased to read your comment around our people being friendly and helpful. We don’t believe there is any other way. We feel people should be able to bring their authentic-self to work and speak openly, and we’re able to do this because of the culture our employees create and how approachable they are. Roxor has been through a period of transition as a business and has faced some hard decisions. At all times we have tried to be as fair as possible for our people and we have found alternative roles for the majority of the people affected. With the changes behind us we see London as the centre of our operations and are committed to providing a thriving and fun work environment, our heart will always be in Soho. We also see our team in South Africa as an important part of our business moving forward and feel that our partnership in South Africa is a positive step forward for our company. We will be digging deeper into your feedback, and we’d like to thank you again for leaving us a review.

Thank you for leaving us a review, your feedback is much appreciated and taken onboard. We’re happy to hear your pros around location, talent and pace of work. We often receive good feedback on office location (we’re actually moving a brand new office in the same area in the coming months!) and are proud of the talent of our employees. On the other hand, we’re sorry to hear that you don’t feel work is rewarded enough and your comments on promotions. We have recently launched an internal employee recognition scheme – Rox Stars, where teams and individuals can be publicly nominated and given a shout out by Josh in our monthly company meet ups which will hopefully go some way to addressing this. Similarly, we have internal recruitment policies in place to try and combat favouritism around internal appointments, in our eyes promotions should be on merit, not who you know. We want all employees to feel encouraged and supported to progress into new opportunities when they arise. We are sorry this was not made more apparent to you during your time with us.
