      Pros

      Colleagues are nice. After 10 years RR has started working on Tempest, which is the only exciting bit all other work is quite repetitive and boring.

      Cons

      Don't join the company expecting you will learn from seniors, they don't care nor would they help. Very reluctant to share their experience and knowledge. Most work we do in Bristol is on old engines. The workplace is not very pleasant as most offices and toilets are old. Very low salaries. No support if you want to do any courses outside the company.

      Pros

      Very inclusive work environment If you are on a newer project then there is great challenging work available People willing to help Relaxed environment and healthy initiatives Pension scheme is great Expenses paid instantly Work life balance is usually excellent

      Cons

      IT is disastrous. Teleports me to the 90s every morning. Opportunities can range between great and poor, depending on which project you get put onto. Your salary will be deducted, you will be forced to take unpaid leave etc under the excuse of "covid impact" Most of the direct line managers are not good enough in my opinion. Almost no focus on developing people (by line managers, even though the company does try) Communication is abysmal, especially over the past couple of years. I bet nobody in the office knows the org structure. Getting promoted is more convoluted than it should be.
