      Started out great then fizzled to extremely disappointing

      Pros

      Good compensation for younger employees Well defined work and technical environment Great ability to move around in the company Good potential for international travel, if you like that kind of stuff

      Cons

      Have decided to "global grade" the entire company which has resulted in significant benefit reductions for mid level senior engineers. Usually associated with multiple level demotions, loss of merit increases, and loss of executive bonus. Also, relocation of company to smaller facility downtown. Senior engineers now being given 3'X4 work area instead of previous office work environment. Do I need to explain what "hot-desking" is?

      Pros

      Good brand name and global locations. Not sure why people still like the brand name. Failed engines on A380 AND 747s and no mention on businessweek;'s global top 100 brands shows what this once renowned company is all about in the current day and age,

      Functional silos, no accountability, extreme nepotism, no respect for technical competency, education and professional accomplishments outside of RR, frequent reorganizations, poor salary and benefits, high employee turnover,

      1. Company name recognition 2. Experience in project teams is fast and unrelenting, if you succeed you will know the projects side of the business cold.

      Cons

      1. Understaffed and causes delays in all aspects of the business especially for customizied projects.
