Very interesting work at times. Undermined by poor management and favouritism.

The projects and work can be very engaging and rewarding. Pay and holiday are ok and work/life balance is very good. Long contracts/strong order books provide good job security.

Cons

Management with poor technical knowledge often waste good engineering resource. Blatant favouritism undermines staff moral. Few career opportunities without "networking" - culture of "It's not what you know it's who you know"

A large company with lots of interesting challenges, and some frustrating ones.

Pros

Makes great products, lots of engineering challenges and oppurtunity for learning. Working hours are good, so is the money. Large group of football fanatics work here.

Cons

Office politics, supply chain focus, clarity on department goals and strategy to implement them. Team building not fantastic.
