Pros

Promotions are there if you want them, but sometimes you have to be your own best advocate. Benefits are good compared to similar industries. Paid overtime. In Indianapolis, the work/life balance is great; flex hours, good managers.

Cons

RR loves to have reorg's amongst their management structure. Not sure it impacts the daily work of most, but it is a distraction. Pay slowed over the last 5-6 years.

Decent British company with opportunities to explore different career avenues

Cons

To many initiatives detract from focus and clear strategy. Not prepared to offer competitive package even though they didn't want me to leave! Destructive career regrading of job roles.

Great Pay, great PTO allowance, having Rolls-Royce on your shirt/hat/jacket/business card really impresses people; it feels good to tell people that you work for ROLLS ROYCE

Cons

Depending on where you are in the organization, the work may not be as fulfilling and state of the art as what might be assumed by someone outside the company; the name and logo can be more impressive than the work; IT in Indy is 5-10 years behind the rest of the solar system, and that's after a major set of upgrades (maybe saving money on IT keeps layoffs to a minimum?)
