      Good company to start your career with

      Pros

      They provide good training for new engineers. The name Rockwell Automation and being certified on their products is great for future jobs

      Cons

      This particular position doesn't have a path to move up in the company. You have no choice but to spend 5 or more years of your career as a field service engineer. Low salary compared to industry standards

      Train their employees constantly. Great opportunity to meet people from other countries.

      Cons

      You can grow depending the region you work. Latin America is not an option, you work hard and be invisible.

      Pros

      Customers always came first. Team work mentality with other employees or departments was outstanding. Managers were flexible with personal or family appointments. Consistent training done on a continuous basis for upgrades or procedure changes. Managers highly knowledgeable in all aspects of their division.

      Cons

      International inter-company communications regarding direction/action were sometimes slow in urgent situations. Not always allowed extra vacation time off during Christmas and New Year when most other departments were always off. Of course it does depend on ones position though and what they do.
