Pros

Opportunity for great pay, if you perform. Nice people. Chance to meet interesting clients.

Cons

Felt like sweatshop. Small cubicles for work environment, difficult to concentrate. Relentless focus on activity metrics, seemingly on hourly basis. Almost purely transactional in nature

Pros

can make a very good amount of money gives you a chance to make a lot of good connections in your area

Cons

10.5+ hour days too many layers of management they give you no ramp up time there is a very lacking training program that doesnt give you a chance to learn before you start building your business the senior management has NO clue what goes on daily the mark ups are high and prevent people from working with you the mark ups for the different divisions are anywhere from 70% -150% there is no need to have a 70% mark up on someone who is going to answer phones and file paperwork! high turnover selling managers = competing against your boss

Delightful out west, disappointing in the east

Pros

The west coast branch has very supportive staffing managers who listened to what I was looking for and cared if I was unhappy in a job. While on long-term assignments, the staffing manager would check in about every two weeks to make sure things were still going well. I had successful long-term assignments that allowed me to grow and take on responsibilities beyond my title and, ultimately, a job offer.

Cons

The east coast branch could not care less about me or my career goals. I am just a number and a paycheck, and they make sure to treat me as such. They do not return phone calls in a timely manner, and have placed me on "temp-to-perm" assignments knowing full well the company has no plans to hire. Also dislike being placed in offices with high turn-over: The last thing a new hire wants to hear is, "Gee, I wonder how long you'll last?", or "Another one?!".
