management in some stores a bit "cliquey" put staff in positions off authority/responsibility but don't recognise or reward this with appropriate wages/job titles (eg every week put you in sole charge of a department, doing the work that a senior sales assistant/junior manager would do however you get paid the same as the staff you are supervising) however management would be quick to point the finger at you if something went wrong - all the downsides of a senior sales job without the reward! If you ask for the reward you are laughed at!

- Hard to adjust to working environment if you are coming from another company at a management level - Very set way of doing everything and you HAVE to do it that way - Very opposed to any suggestions of alternative ways of doing things (especially if you have come from another company) - Not very good benefits (apart from staff discount), even for management - Regular staff are minimum wage, even in London, so high turnover of staff - Too many members of management at various levels and not many staff - Very strict working environment
