      Pros

      I worked with a great team who always supported each other. The management team always looked for the best in you and trained us to a very high standard. They push us to be the best that we can be personally and prefessinally. The company's way of working, e.g. the training and standards of our customer service, was the best out of all the retail companies I have worked with. It doesn't feel like you are actually at work due to the atmosphere crested by staff.

      Cons

      There isn't much opportunity for extra hours unless it's peak time at Christmas and summer. I have been paid slightly better from other retail companies

      Pros

      Working at River Island has enabled me to gain various skills and build relationships with my team and customers. The most important skills I feel Ive learnt are communication skills, upselling, cross selling, promoting offers confidentally and reaching daily targets. As well as these skills, River Island always keeps me up to date with future trends and has taught me that working as a team as well as an individual is vital. I love that I have the opportunity to give customers the best shopping experience with a team who know exactly what theyre doing to help achieve this. Lastly, thank you for increasing our discount to 40% as this has made me feel appreciated and ive been able to treat a lot more of my family as well as myself.

      Cons

      Although there are more Pros than Cons, I do have to address some. I work for your Winchester branch and unfortunately you havent renewed the lease of the property. I completely understand that this may of have to be done beyond your control, however, due to being a University Student I wont be able to afford travel to a nearer store. Seeing as we are closing our store on Feb 6th, I wish we had more time to find a job as the closing date is incredibly close and need extra income for student needs. Apart from this, Ive always loved working for River Island and would not hesistate to work for you again in the future if I do choose the redundancy route.

      Pros

      It's quick paced and some of the people are great to work with. Great discount off product too.

      Cons

      Some of the managers were extremely rude, and some of the staff members were too. Not always a very welcoming place for new staff. Also depending on what your role was, there wasnt much versatility to the job.
