Pros

Great people and company culture. The Ritz-Carlton does not fail at making you feel like you are truly a part of something. In this specific role, I earned hourly, tips and commission. The base hourly (which i had to fight for over the 6 years there) is not worth it alone. The tips and commission are what made the job worth it financially, but it is based on business needs and your ability to book groups consistently.

Cons

Pay!! There is little incentive to leave a tipped and commission based job to become a manager earning mid to low 50k's and working many hours. Advancement is also very slow.
