Pros

Flexible in scheduling for the most part, great healthcare options, pretty easy to work in other departments if you’re low in hours in your department. Hotel discount accommodations everywhere. Beautiful views no matter what part of the hotel I was in.

Cons

Back of the house a bit disorganized. Not enough brooms and dust pans to save your life when there was a spill. Small thing like this but if not on hand it would take longer to complete a task. Which is everything when you’re working in Banquets.

Pros

Marriot discount, good team and working for a global brand (good for future job prospects)

Cons

Unable to use the discount a lot because they overwork you for long hours with mediocre pay and do not provide meals on break. Upper management does not care.
