Pros

- Get to work with Smart folks. Since it's a high growth startup, it surely attracts best folks in the industry - You get to work on interesting projects, on a global scale - You are equipped with high-end hardware, making sure you can work comfortably

Cons

- Their recent team switch policy, makes it extremely difficult for folks to join other projects/teams. A lot of people joined the company hoping to make an internal switch later, not sure what their plans are now. - Middle management is in-experienced and in-effective, esp. in terms of talent evaluation. - Employees are treated as resources. These resources may be relieved in case of budget constraints, in the name of underperformance or bad culture fit.

Hi! first of all I would like to thank you for your review and your thoughts on where we need to focus. Revolut has become very successful in a short time and most of our Revoluters thrive on the challenges, drive and ambition needed to achieve at that pace. Over the past few years we've grown our own talent but also enriched it with people with experience across financial services, governance and compliance at every level. While most of us love the challenges we encounter - we know it might not be the right environment for everyone so we'll take your feedback. Revolut is extremely committed to meeting all its regulatory requirements and all our people are trained to understand their commitments and obligations. Please reach out to me personally if you'd like to discuss this topic or any other concerns. Jim MacDougall, VP People at Revolut

Pros

1. High velocity 2. Some benefits related to Revolut product.

Cons

1. toxic work culture 2. employees especially UX designers are treated like machines, with no empathy 3. UX designers are treated like a tool at Product leaders (managers) disposal. Product leaders have issues with UX designers spending time in iterations. 4. Its top down approach where product leaders follow what is told to them and then people in his team are required to follow what product leader thinks. 5. UX designers can't lead extremely difficult to impact roadmap. NOTE Employyes are asked (forced) by HR folks to share positive reviews on glassdoor.

Hello, thank you for your comment. Companies take many approaches to UX and product ownership, and our approach may not be the same as your experience elsewhere. It is not that any team is more important than the other or to imply any lack of trust or respect. Product teams have a wider overview of everything related to the product (GTM, roadmaps, information from key stakeholders) so we ask that other teams take their lead. If this workflow isn't working well we recommend discussing it with your line manager and do please be willing to suggest solutions. We like to think that we're open to different routes if they get us to our destination. Glassdoor reviews are always voluntary. We'd never suggest that anyone contributes anything but their own experience as it's your views that count. We know that many, many Revoluters find their time with us hugely rewarding so we hope they'll share those views. We hope you'll talk to colleagues or to HR about how we can improve your experience together.
