Pros

Looks good on your CV Can be good if you are at the start of your career

Cons

- KPIs are unattainable unless you work 15 hrs a day - Even if you make above 100% of your KPI, you can end up with an unsatisfactory performance review - Median tenure in the company is 1 year - There are over 10000 ex employees on Linkedin which tells you how high the turnover really is - There is discrimination based on your ethnicity - Grievance procedures do not work; even if you have a valid case, the grievance will never be upheld - The culture is for you to work extra overtime and shut up - If you do not find common language with your superiors or they simply do not like you or maybe need to cut cost on salary budget, they will have you fired - there is no job security - KPIs get reviewed behind the scenes constantly, and you can get fired any quarter - PIPs are not done to develop you, its a tool to fire you - No wok life balance, no communication and no collaboration

Toxic culture

Pros

Salary is good Holiday from day 1 is good.

Cons

Toxic leadership - it comes from the top, abusive and bullying behaviour to get sh*t done. Values mean nothing and a lot of the Heads of departments and above are excessively oppressive, don't listen to feedback and they see themselves as the subject matter experts. Your performance is scrutinised every quarter which is oppressive, goals are changed or added at the last minute, task that were not agreed are added to your roadmap and all the extra work is not seen as you doing a good job, just that you haven't delivered on what you initially promised. Hard to deliver when you keep changing the finish line. For a business around for quite a few years now, so many processes and things are backwards. You have to raise a ticket for everything, you cant just speak to colleagues and get support, everything is tracked for the sake of performance. This leads to people being demotivated. Staff turnover is very high, so much so that some departments operate at 50% capacity and still there are issues when projects are not delivered, you need more people to deliver the projects. Strategic direction is lacking. But we also cant operate strategically when we have no staff, you get 100s of Slacks a day and are expected to work a ridiculous number of hours each week. I agree with the review below about the bonus structure being changed mid year and made harder to achieve, a big kick in the teeth and stinks but made by the leadership team who have very little experience of and don't understand people. Ignore the equity sign on bonus - it is monopoly money and means very little.

Pros

Salary Team (if you are lucky) Home office stuff

Cons

Oh boy, where do I start. I have never in my professional carreer (10 years so far) seen a toxic enviornment like this. 1st - THEY DON'T CARE about you. Doesn't matter whether you've been in the company for 3 months or 2 years, a bad quarter means that you're out of business, no questions. 2nd - Moving to another deparments is extremely difficult, almost impossible 3rd - Constant changes in priorities, goals, methodologies, make it almost imposible to focus on doing your job 4rd - The possition is just crowded. There are too many AEs in Revolut (just check linkedin) going for the same businesses, which makes it an extremely competitive enviornment and you basically will depend on your contacts and good luck. Please, please let this be the signal that you were looking for. Don't let yourself be seduced by the money they pay, they are paying you for the stress that they will put you through. It is not worth it. If you have another offer, just take it. If you don't have anything and you need the money, just leave before they burn you out too.
