Cons

I worked for Revolut for over a year as an Account Executive, the training was as standard, I understand they onboard large groups so it was not specific but easy enough to get questions answered as they had a buddy system in place. In my time with Revolut, there were constant changes made to the target system, commission structure & processes, this lead to a lot of confusion and no transitional period, let alone any adjustment period. Lot's of "Top Performers" would change inbound leads and make them to new accounts to have them count as outbound leads, this was hardly ever looked into, even accounts that were very clearly changed for the benefit of the employee, leading to some great results and us being told that we are not doing enough even though this was happening. As mentioned above, targets were increased each quarter and got to unobtainable levels, which was used to either force people to quit or get fired, this was due to over-hiring within the department, there was some great salespeople let go in my time due to this, most people hit target by a stroke of luck or were given leads by upper management, this happened within my team, they had their favourites and would give them leads over others all the while, in meetings if they didn't like someone, they wouldn't talk to them or they would be sarcastic in their responses and were very childish in their actions across the team, on one of our team nights, the budget was mostly spent on their friends within the workplace & not their team, they also left us to go somewhere else and hardly spent any time with or engaged with us, we had also travelled on our own wallet to meet the team and have a night out together. The internal communication was awful, if you asked for help somewhere you would be ignored most times, if you raised help internally, this would be ignored for days, internal chat didn't help either, I lost many deals due to this, the internal demo system would always crash during demonstrations also which was embarrassing. When letting employees go, there was no sign of this, an employee could have gotten a pay rise the month before and be let go the next, the whole time having positive meetings and discussions, there was no effort to help anyone improve, or use their talents elsewhere within a different department, nothing was taken into consideration either, one day all could all be well then they would get handed their notice, my manager smirked in my exit meeting and didn't seem to care at all, I had large deals bubbling that I learnt were handed to the same people within the team who got the best leads and opportunities by upper management and lost 50% of an annual bonus, the other 50% is still tied up within the company with no access in site. Joining Revolut completely changed my career trajectory for the worse, I struggled with my mental health after leaving, couldn't get another job and ended up moving into employment at much lower pay and in a different sector, when I tried to get references I was ignored by HR which made it difficult and nearly lost me the job offer. Listed below are the cons of working at Revolut: Favouritism Lack of Career Progression Target Increases Bad Internal Communication Staff Turnovers Toxicity between Management & Employees Bad Training Constant Changing of Rules & Procedures Cutthroat Lot's of People Cheating Their Way To Target

Pros

Good salary and remote working

Cons

Lot of young inexperienced people who don't know what they are doing. Unrealistic targets No work/Life balance (to meet the targets you will constantly have to work late) Highly stressed colleagues and people suffering from mental health issues If you are off-sick during the probation period Revolut won't provide you with any additional support to pass your probation so if you are sick you are out! Your manager wont support you to pass your probation, you wont be given any support to improve your performance so if you are falling behind for any reasons, they just terminate your contract without warnings at the end of the probation period!

Hi! Thank you for your review! We're sorry you're having such a poor experience with us. Revolut is known for its Never Settle and Get it Done values, which are two things that draw many people to the company, along with its fast-paced, innovative environment. We want to encourage people to thrive on these values, while also maintaining a healthy work/life balance, being aware of the signs of burnout, and looking after their own wellbeing. Our team is our most precious asset, and we never compromise on talent. We select, coach, and retain the top talent and give them all the support to achieve greatness. Our goals are discussed and agreed between line managers and employees, to make sure they’re exciting not only for the company, but for the Revoluter too. We believe that clear performance expectations help us all focus on the same priorities, and to direct teamwork effort where it's needed. We take all feedback seriously, and we're constantly working on making Revolut a great place to work. All the best!

Pros

Great work - Great opportunity to learn and work on interesting projects. Great pay - above market standard usually. Smart people - You get to work with some of the smartest minds in the world.

Cons

Culture - 1. Asking questions is not acceptable. It is expected that everyone should be a self-starter and asking questions means that you are not a self-starter. How is one supposed to figure things out and start by themselves if there are no resources to do so? 2. Every conversation is a confrontation. There is little to no sense of collaboration. 3. Unreasonable expectations. One employee is handed multiple projects to work on and deliver in a short time with the highest quality. On top of that, there are multiple meetings to provide status updates on each of these projects. Even if an employee were to work 24 hours a day, it wouldn't be enough. 4. New policies have made career growth in the company difficult. The company appreciates aggressive people and hustlers who cannot get burned out. 5. Trying to do too much at once. People are expected to work on too many things at once which compromises on the quality of the deliverable at times, which results in more unnecessary remediation/fixing work in the future. 6. Impatience. Almost everyone is impatient in the company and nobody has time to listen to people, which results in people cutting each other off in conversations.
