Pros

Strong focus on execution, and quantity over quality

Cons

Poor compensation - very learn business that keeps its cash for product promotions (referral bonuses) rather than employee compensation and irregular share bonus scheme (shares are still on paper). Like many mid-sized company suffers from cons of both a smaller company (unclear strategy beyond copying the big companies - "company X is doing this, company Y is doing that", many inexperienced middle managers (early joiners) who love to 'flex' by asserting goals that do not have a clear strategy behind them) as well as those of a large company (lots of red tape due to wanting to be a bank, insane politics). Very little product leadership and high engineering staff turnover makes it impossible to keep a steady roadmap. You risk learning bad product habits that should not be transferred beyond this company. Most people have not come from a tech background, but rather banking or consulting, carrying over the exact same culture.

Thank you for your review. Revolut is hugely ambitious, has come a long way quickly and learned a lot on the way. Sometimes our ambition has meant we've tried to go too fast but we listen to our people and try to ensure that all voices are heard and that we are working smartly not just hard and that everyone can get a reasonable balance between work and the rest of life. We draw talent from many backgrounds - tech, financial services and elsewhere - and we try to ensure that we learn from the best experience and success stories. We want to be a place where our talented people can learn, grow and be successful and we know our drive and dynamism is what makes Revolut a great place to be for many people. We appreciate all that you do, and wish you the best.

Pros

1. Good initial salary 2. Teammates - great people at the team 3. No issue with work from home 4. Interesting and challenging work - in some instances I think this is the only place in Poland to work in such a line of business. 5. Great tools for utilized for work

Cons

Sums up to 1 sentence: Lack of respect for the analysts and agents. 1. Lack of work-life balance (shifts are being managed in a very strict way, work on weekends is a must, late shifts and night shifts. All of those subjected to business request rather than having actual sense) 2. Downgrade of salary raises and bonuses 3. Inexperienced middle management - most of the decisions relate only to new means of control, generating more pointless rules or spreadsheets. 4. TLs are basically project managers - engaged in so many additional projects that it makes it virtually impossible to manage the people they are leading. 5. Stated core values of the company are not being implemented into the actual day to day operation of the department. 6. A great deal of micromanagement and focus on automated tools to verify work - the tools utilized are highly intrusive. 7. FinCrime Dept is purely KPI driven - no need to excel or offer anything else - just keep KPIs high. 8. Lack of recognition of individuals - including the fact there is no formal acknowledgement of additional tasks performed by an employee - even long term ones. 9. Unclear career path 10. In most instances there are very few policies and regulations available - in most instances, the analyst has to come up with a solution. 11. Chaotic environment Many of the issues raised in the media articles remain.

Hello, thank you for your review. We're glad that you found much of your Revolut experience positive, especially the choice to work from home . Our KPIs and working patterns should help our people succeed and achieve the best we can for our customers. That's particularly important in FinCrime where we need to maintain the highest possible levels security for our customers. We value our employees highly and we're sorry if that didn't feel the case. We recognise the need for work/life balance and most of our employees think we are suceeding. We try hard to accommodate individual needs and we'll look into your comments to see what more we can do. Revolut is breaking barriers to reinvent how the world does money and create new and better tools and services for our customers. Often we are navigating new territory, bringing challenges which many Revoluters thrive on. As you say, the work is interesting and challenging. We recognise teams and individuals and celebrate their success across the business Revolut is a fast growing business and we're constantly evolving. We work hard to support Revoluters so that we can create a truly global financial superapp that customers will love. We wish you the best in your career.

Pros

- I like working here. I've had interviews elsewhere since joining but haven't felt like moving yet. - It's not a family, join with a goal in mind. - If you can quickly get up to speed you can, over time, make good commission, if you can't though, you're better off leaving quickly - 100% Remote - Potentially good on the CV, I'm not sure how long for though. - A great place to start as a junior, not so great for experienced sales professional - Some sales staff complain of micromanagement but if you are reaching your revenue target you are given a light touch, if you're activity is medium to high you will hit your target Strategic self sourcing will get you good results and ok commission

Cons

Morale is low Resources are poor - bad Chromebooks, no second screen if you are WFH You are always maximum 6 months away from being fired There are no allowances for a bad Q - you will be on a PIP It is policy to "exit" you from the business if you get less than 50% target in one Q (not legal). Less than 70% 2 Q's in a row and you're out too. No target adjustment for long absences or holidays There is high staff turnover - too high, incredibly high Targets are not reliably achievable Sink or Swim Revolut are burning through the hiring pool, with reputational damage as a result You need to use Revolut, because Revolut will use you Hard to know if high results and fast track promotions are due to luck or skill

Hi, thank you for your review. We are still a very young business that has grown very quickly to meet the needs of our customers. We’re constantly looking to ensure that we support the people who enable us to create great products and support our customers. In the true Get It Done spirit, we have reviewed several of our paid leave policies and are very happy to offer our Revoluters: 2 extra wellbeing days & birthday leave as well as extension to marriage, Maternity & Adoption, Paternity, Miscarriage & Abortion and also Bereavement Leave. Wish you well!
