Pros

Very friendly and young remote working environment

Cons

Many promises from the HR team are not respected. HR is here only for the recruitment process. The equipment and tools are not very high quality. Not the best environment to succeed as a Junior. The management style is not appropriate for this industry and the favouritism for certain colleagues within the team is very alarming

Pros

Initial pay is competitive. Permanent work from home option.

Cons

HR is non-existent. I think there’s an HR ticketing system for support but I’m not sure anyone looks at it. They claim to have good benefits, especially time off days and work from abroad, but there are number of caveats to the work from anywhere policy. I also didn’t have a single day off working there even when I took holiday. My holiday just meant that I worked eight hours a day instead of fifteen plus. Senior leaders lack in experience - some of the weirdest one-to-ones I’ve ever had were at Revolut. Many managers don’t give feedback until ratings time (maybe) and when they do it’s passive aggressive and not direct. To make it worse, they have a matrix structure so technically you have two managers. All that means is that you have double the headaches. They have a new “manager hub” to teach and prepare people to lead, but it’s not very good when compared with similar trainings from other companies. That said, I doubt things will get better. Attrition is incredibly high. Average stay seems to be about one year.

Thanks for your review! Revolut has grown tremendously in the past few years. We’re proud of our ambition. We know our goals can demand a lot - but we never want this to have a negative impact on our employees. To support them in their work life balance we implemented a lot of initiatives: wellbeing days, temporary working abroad policy, flexible working, birthday leave and many more. Thousands of Revoluters take a good use of those and have a lot of fun while working with us much more than 1 year. Wish you best!

Pros

A lot of scope to grow in Fintech space Good Pay at first but not in longer run

Cons

Poor technology used Job profile misaligned with interview process Folks with 1-2 year experience are senior managers and provide immature feedback to people with 10-11 years of experience, they yell at them and do not have any professionalism Poor treatment of employees by line manager Also heard from folks that they demote you - This is new to me ...how can a person go back to performing at a lower level once you approved them for promotion - Sounds funny and ridiculous. It means your own promotion decision making is poor. It's just laughable.

Hi, Thank you for your review. We are still a very young business that has grown very quickly to meet the needs of our customers. We’re constantly looking to ensure that we support the people who enable us to make sure that everyone we hire can be happy and productive here. Recently we've launched a new initiative called a RevManager Hub to make sure our leaders are well-prepared to perform their duties. We have also worked a lot to unify and rearrange our departments for the people and business benefits. To build a proper career paths we broadened some seniority levels in some departments/roles. In this case adjustment of seniority could have happened, however the remuneration, bonuses and benefits of the person were not impacted by this technical change. Wish you best!
