Pros

Good Company to work with lot of positives but if Managers are Crabs then can't do anything

Cons

Managers are Biased... You see all the Managers in Pune are enjoying good life because they are there from last 10 years + and there is no direction at all, I got fed up and hence left the organization because all the managers are Crabs instead of Pushing the associate up they pull them down....Culture of Red Hat Pune is shattered.... Also feedback Pattern on Glassdoor, if you see 1 bad review then you see 3 or 4 good reviews immediately shared and I have doubt it could be manager or specific team manipulated. Red Hat Pune is dying ... Managers are the culprit... hence now it is not a good place to work. People request you to take negative feedback's positively and if you know anyone at Red Hat, kindly confirm with them before joining do ask about the manager you are going to join. I can name some Managers but Glassdoor wouldn't allow. Needless to say people who can be nice to managers will grow if you are different then you are gone with the wind....

Pros

Good benefits, reasonable compensation, good products. Free food. Fun company events. Good brand. CEO is great. Good acquisitions, especially Ansible and 3 Scale.

Cons

Channel leadership is a mess. Product leadership has a not invented here mentality. Not a real enterprise software company. Leadership is clubby and parochial. HR is a mess. Stock appreciation doesn't keep pace with market peers.

Pros

Open Source- clear and transparent approach towards employees Good policies to make employee feel comfortable Good pay Work from home Product based knowledge Current CEO is visionary who wants to make sure everyone feels at home at Red Hat

Cons

Special attention to Jim- Red Hat has got some of the worst managers specially at Pune, India office. They don't deserve to be called managers but pimps who are in office to do favoritism, biased approach who take their personal frustration on employees. Call center and BPO managers who have rough approach towards employees are hired to lead a team and they bring their own dominating culture and spoil the work culture specially in the operation team. This is not their fathers business but a child nurtured by visionary leaders in USA who sweated their blood and guts out to make Red Hat what it is today. I am happy to have left Red Hat but I may join in future once these monsters leave the company who gave me hard time. Needs advanced learning and technology in line with market so that along with management, there is technical growth for employees.
