Pros
Open Source- clear and transparent approach towards employees Good policies to make employee feel comfortable Good pay Work from home Product based knowledge Current CEO is visionary who wants to make sure everyone feels at home at Red Hat
Cons
Special attention to Jim- Red Hat has got some of the worst managers specially at Pune, India office. They don't deserve to be called managers but pimps who are in office to do favoritism, biased approach who take their personal frustration on employees. Call center and BPO managers who have rough approach towards employees are hired to lead a team and they bring their own dominating culture and spoil the work culture specially in the operation team. This is not their fathers business but a child nurtured by visionary leaders in USA who sweated their blood and guts out to make Red Hat what it is today. I am happy to have left Red Hat but I may join in future once these monsters leave the company who gave me hard time. Needs advanced learning and technology in line with market so that along with management, there is technical growth for employees.
