Red Hat reviews

I believed in Red Hat so strongly before I joined, but in my time there, I have unfortunately experienced a truly shocking level of mismanagement. I've seen many examples of career development being withheld from extremely and demonstrably talented and dedicated individuals, and given to the utterly unqualified, because of petty vendettas or personal relationships. Asking an awkward question about a policy or making an unwelcome criticism about a project can often mean the end, or indefinite stagnation, of an otherwise promising career. Many if not all of my contributions, even when made voluntarily at great personal sacrifice, go unrecognised and unappreciated. Many of my colleagues are neglected and overworked. Conversely, those with friends in the right places are sometimes promoted for no reason, and can get away with anything. I am extremely saddened to have had this experience at Red Hat, of all the companies in the world Red Hat is not the one I would expect it from. I am now forced to admit that placing my faith in Red Hat was a big mistake and I'm looking for work elsewhere.
