Pros

Flexible work location and hours. Modern, clean office in Brno, with good furniture and IT equipment. Managers don't typically pressure employees. If you're lucky, you'd have great team members and manager.

Cons

Lower than market compensation, according to my friends, working for other companies. Eroding original Red Hat culture over time, possibly due to IBM acquisition. Many senior employees have left in the past couple of years. Managers may behave without understanding of what they're doing. Too much work to do without experienced colleagues. Profanity in the organization, which does not always support engineering values. Promotion of ethnic and cultural minorities, women, and people of color in the advertisements in the white-dominant region. Those people somehow occupy higher positions without necessarily having the required skills. Good luck implementing new ideas, if those aren't coming from above.

Pros

Best work-life balance, and making a profit even providing WFH.

Cons

Frequent reorganization, like every couple of years my team was changed.
