Pros

One of the best Tech companies period. Lots to learn, amazing people to learn from. A few times I was looking to find out who wrote something, figuring it they were halfway around the world, when they were two or three cubicles away. Some of the brightest minds in the Open Source world are sitting next to you and always willing to help.

Cons

If you're not doing development, it's kind of boring. Kind of really, really boring. It quickly turns from a fun, laid back place, into a desert of cubicles where you're trying to fight to stay awake until 5pm.

Pros

My work is my own. Being an open source company, I'm able to sign my name to the work I do. It lets me shows my peers and other potential employers the work I am capable of doing. No need for secrecy here.

Cons

Growing pains. As a company red Hats business has grown far faster than its business processes are built for. As such it can be difficult to get things done from a business perspective.
