Pros

Great role for anyone at a university level. Taught me so much about real world marketing and sales, which I felt gave my a head start upon completion of my degree, and there were always opportunities to move up in the company if you had the desire and drive to do so. Super flexible working hours also meant it was a great combination with a hectic university timetable.

Cons

Your work inevitably becomes intertwined in your education and personal life, which can be tricky at times but as long as you have enough discipline to keep your priorities on track you'll be fine.

Pros

- great hourly pay - works around school schedule - perks: lots of red bull, you get to participate and work cool events, make a lot of professional connections - nice little resume builder for anyone in marketing or event planning

Cons

- WTM are a team of 6-12 college girls.. it can get cliquey - a lot of last minute scheduling so you have to be very flexible if you want a good amount of shifts - management is not very involved so the lazy team members are able to take advantage and slide by without repercussions

Pros

Bar none, hands down one of the most innovative lifestyle marketing companies to ever exist. Once upon a time, Red Bull was the leader in innovative consumer marketing. They are always coming up with something new, different and exciting to market to it's loyal brand followers. You are definitely enabled to drive your own projects the way you want them to be complete, and your creativity is never compartmentalized into a box. As for your co-workers - these are the kind of people you WANT to be your friends: smart, engaging, a little crazy and always willing to do something that may or may not be against the rules.

Cons

No work/life balance. Compensation for work is poor, no incentive structure in marketing because "you're working at all the cool events anyway", bonus and raises are a joke. The expectation is your life is your job and your job is your life. Also - they currently have a big problem with turnover and brand v. product lovers.
