      Pros

      The Staffing industry in general is full of outgoing people and an outgoing environment -Health insurance is the only good benefit, but it is very pricey!

      Cons

      Micromanaged, Corporate environment means you are just a number, recruiters are viewed as "Grunt workers" while Account Managers are allowed to dictate how recruiters run their desks, it is not a team environment. -Base Salary is low and the commission structure is not very aggressive. -High Turnover with recruiters -401k plan looks good on paper but be sure to read the fine print -Work life balance does not exist, even for high producers: Strict on PTO, Arrival/Leave time, exact lunch breaks -Metrics mean more than $

      Top Producer pushed out based on PERSONAL feelings of upper management not professional merits

      Pros

      Originally Randstad was an excellent place to work. Great compensation, acceptable benefits, and promised room for growth.

      Cons

      After one year of working the management changed hands. Anyone who was not hired under this manager was fired or left all within a two month period. Decisions were made that did not favor employees but favored upper management. There was a lack of knowledge among upper management on business segments and general business practices of a staffing firm. We were the most profitable branch in the United States that was run into the ground after 6 months of new management being on board. Additionally getting the commissions that are owed to you after you have left is virtually impossible. Totally negative experience and I would tell everyone I know about it.
