Horribly mismanaged company

Pros

Large footprint; brand recognition; financially stable

Cons

Extreme micro-management combined with totally unrealistic performance goals. There is a highly ingrained clique mentality amongst Senior leaders, so if you are not a part of that clique you are at risk of being dismissed simply because... There is a new corporate revenue/sales "strategy" on a regular basis that becomes all consuming for Senior leadership and then, of course, for their respective teams. This creates a great deal of internal chaos as everyone tries to repeatedly jump through the new hoops (i.e. KPI's) in an effort to keep their job. There is no loyalty to anyone other than top performers and a few favorites, even if you are meeting goals and showing continued improvement. There is absolutely no work/life balance as the job requirements necessitate being available at all hours. Turnover is beyond ridiculous but management does not seem to understand that it would cost a lot less to retain your solid performers and put your effort into keeping them motivated, enthusiastic, trusting of management and focused on their respective goals. The revolving door negatively impacts everyone especially your customers.

Pros

Zero. Can't even name one.

Cons

I can't even list them all - terrible work life balance, MISERABLE work environment, unbelievably bad management (abunch of people that do not know how to manage and should NEVER been placed in a management role), awful compensation and they will tell you you can make so much money in commission but you CANNOT and WILL NOT as a recruiter, they treat recruiters like slave robots (you will never be treated as a human or valued in ANY way), zero training or coaching to help you get better in your role, impossible and ridiculous metrics that do not equal deals or commission earned. They tell you everyday how you are not good enough, micromanage you until you nearly want to kill yourself, and none of it is worth the amount of satisfaction or money you get out of the job.

Pros

Employee Stock Purchase Plan, fast-paced environment, great culture in the office, competitive commission plan, various lines of business and opportunity for folks who prove success, comfortable office space and great location.

Cons

Chicago/Midwest has awful leadership from a Regional perspective. Frequent corporate and strategic change, internal political employment contracting, corporate departments are often inexperienced where frequent earnings mistakes have been make towards internal colleagues.
