Pros

If you're willing to do some unsavory things and deal with being micromanaged, you could make good money. God knows with a base salary around 37K you're going to need to make some commission to survive.

Cons

Very micromanaged Every decision you make is scrutinized. Lots of talk about doing things outside the box and innovation but nothing ever changes.

Pros

Randstad Offshore Services(ROS) The Indian subsidiary is another sweatshop outside of USA existing only on the advantage of a highly affordable English speaking labor in India, albeit a way better company to work for than most of the domestic companies that treat employee's no more than paid slaves. The parent company "Randstad" is based out of Denmark. The Indian establishment is a subsidiary of the US operating company(Randstad USA LLC.). The Indian subsidiary(ROS) handles recruitment and Financial shared services for Technologies, Engineering, General Staffing, Sourceright and Payroll services(includes professional and payroll services) This company is essentially a temp staffing agency, the most successful, wealthy and highly financially stable . It is expanding it's India operations, albeit rather slowly. Pros: 1. Albeit a sweat shop, salary at hiring is way better than most domestic companies and BPO's involved in the similar fields. 2. They have been expanding their India operations , as a result creating more job opportunities. Looks like the company has long term plans for the Indian Subsidiary, the extent of which is unknown. 2. Hiring is can be influenced by connections and recruiter referrals. Especially in the senior positions. 3. For certain teams, the work pressure is minimal. 4. The demand for competence from India operations is minimal to non existent, even at higher management levels. 5. Being wealthy and financially stable they were able to support the local employees through the pandemic(on-roll employees). 6. The policy of equality opportunity means they try to fill position's at 50-50 capacity, which means both men and women are at almost equal strength. 7. What's noticed is that Job security is conditional to being useful to the management and the management's ability to handle the necessity of cost cutting when revenues dip. 8. It is a good place to for time servers and volume generators. 9. Work pressure is based on the team you are working for. Earning potential is high for recruitment teams. 10. The company provided transport service only to women(time restricted ) 11. Standard leave and medical benefits. Although these are shown as part of your CTC. 12. The infrastructure is adequate and could be improved.

Cons

Organizational Structure and Management: This Indian subsidiary services the outsourced businesses based out of North America, the markets that generate most of the revenue. Albeit the nomenclature they are not a technology company but primarily a staffing agency, with human resource consulting services. The holding model means many subsidiaries and a non centralized system of human resource processing. Except for the executive leadership onshore the nomenclature used for the management in India has little to no reflection of the levels of management that is usually followed in the industry. This might be due to the holding nature of company and the need to have parity of position. The result the person running the Hyderabad center, albeit kind, charming and a skill full politician is still called a Senior vice President, with two or more Senior Vice Presidents reporting into him for a center with only 300 employees. Funny Guys, Funny Guys! Heavy dependence on software systems from third parties, lack of centralized system of data processing and presentation, incoherent delivery of knowledge, makes delivery of service quality highly difficult unless the team is highly experienced and is focused on a single process. The result is ambiguity between processes, conflict between teams leading to a higher percentage of errors in many of the processes. The company's organizational structure is confusing. It appears the Indian Subsidiary is some sort of a sidekick division for the parent company in USA, an outsourcing activity to save costs. Other than volume generation there's isn't much in the space of innovation. Doesn't look the parent company expects much in terms of competence from the India operations. Funny guys, Funny guys they are. Typical Indian management, they talk big and implement less. People managing this site behaves as if they have been appointed as feudal lords for time serving an emperor. The reporting structure is non linear creating conflicts in issue resolution. Competence aside, the most important talent required for managers here is good vocabulary and the ability to charm your way by building castles in air, when you cannot do that a little arm twisting and intimidation gets the job done. There appears to be a cold tussle between onshore and offshore teams, it seems the onshore managers have more control with better exposure and experience/competence at the job. The offshore is either busy nodding their heads or playing petty politics. The on-shore retains all the decision making with regard to product and process, and of course offshore is striving for cosmetic changes that hardly have any impact on the overall business practices except for cost savings on labor and taxes. Work Culture This company will remind of you of a typical domestic call center handling an international process. One could time serve in this company up-to 10-20 years as long as you are useful to the management. The only competence required is volume churning, in-spite of the company's lofty brand values. The offshore work culture looks more like a feudal structure than a corporate leadership. While the onshore team encourages disagreement, knowledge acquisition and strive to live up to the brand value the offshore teams swear by obedience to hierarchy. Manager say's "blaak sheep", you says yes Sir, otherwise your days are numbered. The glaring inadequacies of Indian education and culture values show up starkly when compared to how the teams are run onshore. Team leadership is more of a command and follow, rather than that of leading by competence. The result of insecurity and micromanaging is simply a dishonest atmosphere, the absence of open and mature communication between teams, and never ending tussle to be as useful as possible to the manager in-order to be in the good books. The bots and androids that server here think they are some kind of Leaders, corrupting the very meaning of the word. This company will remind you of a catholic school with Indian teachers and Headmaster albeit the only motive is a sinister greed for Job Security. The difference to authority , the false feeling of superiority, the class system will show you how incompetent this country has become. This company is going to be a good fit if you are here for time serving and job security. If you are aiming for job satisfaction or a challenging workplace, one should be looking for other companies in the market.

Pros

Large company so they were able to ofer great benefits, insurance is amazing. Fun work environment, and scheduled promotions/raise if performance meets or exceeds expectations.

Cons

I loved working for Randstad, my only issue was my immediate supervisor. During the interview I told them I wasn't really looking for a sales position, later I was told I must do B2B sales. That isn't my fortey. I was also told that I would have more work life balance during the interview, however when my son was very sick or I had 102 fever I was expected to work from home. Keep in mind, I NEVER call out and usually always work no matter what. Any time off was not given with the best support. I believe this was immediate managment, not the overall company value.
