A bit of a training ground where people learn the skills needed to succeed and then move on.
Pros
They take on people straight from school and train them plenty of skills in the world of recruitment. Its a good way of breaking into the contract recruitment world, if that is your aim. In order to learn some basics of the recruitment business this is a great place to start. They have plenty of processes and systems, although they don't always work or make sense.
Cons
It is a very aggressive environment. Both internally competitive and constantly pushing for improvement in results. The pace can be a bit too much for some and burn-out is quite common. On the recruitment side you are dealing with candidates who would rather be anywhere but contracting. All of them would prefer a permanent position. That can a) make the opportunities on offer a difficult sell and b) mean you are dealing with some pretty disillusioned and sometimes unreliable candidates (the most frequent problem we had was candidates not turning up for work).
