Pros

It's a beautiful place to work and most of the other employees are awesome. Truly amazing, intelligent, creative people. I also do think the insurance options are pretty fair and good. Average to high in cost, but I've never had a problem w/ a doctor accepting my insurance or a claim being rejected.

Cons

Suprise! The company that claims to value their "people" over all else actually does not care about any of us whatsoever. First, when you start at RH, they try to indoctrinate you with their values. And honestly, the values are just a set of buzz statements that describe a kind/curious person but are written in a yoda-like fashion to seem "innovative". Unfortunately, the leaders will behave in the exact opposite manner described in the values then turn around and preach how we need to "live out" the values. It's hypocritical and so grating on the soul. (By the way, they weaponize the concept of the 'Drama Triangle'. What could be a great way to encourage positive mindsets, is used to isolate employees from each other, shame us for normal human emotions, and eradicate critical thinking.) Second, they will work you until you quite literally have nothing left to give. They don't care if you're getting divorced, have a fever of 102, or if a parent has cancer. You will still be asked to stay an hour late because they messed up the schedule or never took the time to hire enough people and when you say "no", a mental strike will be added next to your name. If you call out sick, they will ask for proof or if you're really too sick to work. Oh and you can and will be scheduled 7 days straight with multiple closing shifts. Forget your friends and family, because you will never seen them. Even if you request off for your own birthday, you'll probably be scheduled to work! The hours...a sobering reminder that you do not work at a design firm, you work retail in a mall. Leaving the building at 9:30, sometimes 10 pm, is not a rare occurence. And while they claim to be a luxury brand, the hours RH is open do not reflect that. Aforementioned, you will work insane days and hours and the leaders genuinely don't care how you feel about it. And they will continue to have their consistent schedules with multiple weekends off and rare late night shifts. Finally, let's talk about money.... The crazy thing about RH is that it claims to be a multi-billion dollar company. Every year, they are investing more and more money into expanding the brand. If we're reporting these revenue numbers, why is our pay not reflective of that? Why are people bringing in over $3M on their own, but are only being paid $26 - $30/hour? And when raises come (3+ months later than promised with no back-pay), all increases are capped at 50 cents...that's an offensive $86/month pre-tax more. It's also crazy that Gary sent an email to all employees on Thanksgiving that shared how great the company was doing and how much money it was worth then turned around and approved the most obscenely low and disrespectful pay increases ever with no plans to further compensate his employees (normally, they send every employee a $25 gift card but did not this year.) I feel like I'm being pranked.

RH is like a cult. They tell you about all the values they care and believe in but it is not implemented. There’s no support and all the leaders are hypocrites

Pros

beautiful environment, organized, streamlined, structured

Cons

stuffy, no room for creativity because it is the same menu all over the country, is pretty but feels like a fake restaurant, a little strict even coming from someone with extensive fine dining experience, feels culty
