Pros

There is absolutely no pro’s. AT ALL.

Cons

I’ll start off by saying in the beginning and training processes. Things looked great, it was fun, light, & airy. They had us team bond, really break down our defenses, get to know one another and give us everything we needed to know about RH. Looking back it wasn’t a training, it was an indoctrination. They are very weird about hierarchy's of the establishment, and this starts with the CEO Gary Friendman the man, the myth, and coke head. This guy is a total egomaniac, and he makes all of his minions bow down to him. Higher ups, look at him as if he’s a god. All he is, is a man with money. THATS ALL. RH has a lot of dark hidden secrets and large amounts of debt within the company. During the indoctrinating process, they build you up at first, only to start tearing you down, day by day. They make you question yourself, they gaslight you, if you don’t advocate for yourself they will treat you like dirt. The hours opening Newport, CA were grueling, we worked for 10-13+ hours a day. We had 4-5 hours of sidework. I was going in at 12pm and getting out at 1am. Servers, wine bar associates, and expo were on a tip pool with server making no more than 160$ a night. Fast forward four months, things still haven’t changed. The amount of turnover is astounding, leaders who worked for the company left a couple of months in. It’s ran like they never opened 20 restaurants prior to this opening. Workers are definitely not making any money. Working 45+ hours a week, we were only taking home 1800-2200$ every two weeks. Orange County is Extremely Expensive to live in. Some servers are slipping into being broke, tapping into savings, etc… I believe they are stealing tips, and paying other peoples positions with those tips. There’s something highly illegal they are doing, they are definitely doctoring breaks, pay, times in, and payments. They are truly a terrible organization, but it’s no surprise given who their leader is. If I could give them so stars, that would be appropriate. I implore you to look elsewhere for employment because this place will take your peace of mind, time, energy and money away from you.
