Pros

The only pro is for some reason, RH finds some amazing people that work the floor.

Cons

Pay is not consistent and secretive. Each person is given a “secret” different amount that they must not discuss. It’s a cult environment that shames people for not drinking the cool aide.... employees are supposed to prompt RH as a design boutique of sorts and let’s be honest.... they sell furniture (most made oversees) that are designer knockoffs. Communication with upper management (CEO’s) is disastrous and Gary should just be compared to Jim Jones.

Pros

unfortunately there are no pros to working at RH

Cons

Management lies to the employees by promising one thing but delivering another, often employees were placed in different positions that they were not qualified for during lay offs at the company. Top level managers allowed to date employees then move them to different office locations to cover it up. RH strips employees of all personal identification and basically says you can't have anything at your work station that is not RH-so nothing personal. Everyday forcing employees to attend value meetings that they do not make managers follow through and or live by; they just want to make you feel as though they are this world glass company but they are far from it.

Pros

Some of the people are nice, and the pay is above average for most companies in the area.

Cons

There is literally no work/life balance. They get upset with you if you don't answer work emails or calls during non-work hours. Upper management regularly scolds staff because of business decision failures that they made and are not staff's fault. They are also unreceptive to change and do not like to be told when something is going wrong. Additionally, for a very large company, do not offer any 401K match. CEO Gary Friedman is also completely unstable, throws constant child-like temper tantrums, and is incredibly uncomfortable to be around.
