Pros

They hire great people. The Galleries are lovely. Training is very good. Onboarding is excellent.

Cons

Low salary for experienced individuals. No financial recognition for excellent contributions. Gas Lighting. No real commitment to professional growth. (This may be different at the Corporate Headquarters.) Poor Leadership. Values sound great, but they are not practiced. Working evenings and weekends-- no advance scheduling. extremely high turnover.

Good benefits. Aesthetically pleasing work environment.

Cons

Incredibly toxic, cult like team culture where everyone is unhappy. Associates hired with little to no design knowledge, but expected to bring in 100s of thousands of dollars in a year for $18/hour and no commission. High turnover. Poor leadership, and no real opportunity for growth/advancement.

Co-workers are mostly excellent people if they haven’t bought into the cult

Cons

Unrealistic expectations of employees, lack of consistency with “leadership” and all the talk of it being a cult are 100% true. They literally feel they are changing the world with overpriced furniture. “Love us or leave us” is the culture and if you don’t buy in, there is no place for you. Everyone is disposable. For a brand with such global recognition it’s amazing how many terrible reviews there are from employees. Tells you a lot about the culture,
