- Privately-owned (no obligation to shareholders; fewer "reactive" business decisions)
- Culturally diverse
- Challenging work projects
REHAU is a German-based polymer innovator with more than 19,000 employees worldwide. I work within a cross-border team dispersed throughout our locations in South America, Canada, Mexico and the US. We are encouraged to share competencies and knowledge to strengthen the whole team. Management is accessible and communication about business performance is open. Whether a unit director, engineer, executive or production employee, the expectation is that we each are very good at our profession or skill, have a good work ethic, problem solving abilities and enjoy being challenged. If you want an easy job at a company that settles for "just okay" performance from you or from itself, this isn't the place. At the same time, if you express a need or concern, whether professional (training, education) or personal (family issue, illness) my experience has been that the company is supportive, respectful and flexible. Communication is the key. Other notes: REHAU (Leesburg) has a beautiful, open campus with wildlife, trees and expansive lawn areas. It is located on one of the highest elevations in the area with sweeping views.
Cons
- Somewhat bureaucratic / traditional (this can be positive and negative)
- Slower to adapt to some workplace trends
No Utopian company exists, nor does the perfect employee. All things considered, REHAU is doing well and right by its employees.
