Pros

Location, free parking, staff canteen

Cons

Almost continually recruiting, offering permanent positions, however from experience losing/rejecting 90% of new appointees within first 6 months ie during probation. Managers and supervisors normally too busy to mentor, properly train or offer proper support.

Thank you for your review and for recommending the RAC. It’s great to hear that you’re finding plenty of opportunities to learn and build your skills, and that you feel supported by the team around you. Creating a positive, encouraging environment for apprentices is really important to us. We also recognise that there can be some longer days from time to time. As a 24/7 service this can occasionally be part of the role, but we always aim to ensure it’s balanced and well supported. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience, we’re glad to have you as part of the team.

Pros

Nearly four years in, the work has been genuinely rewarding, the kind that stretches you, builds your confidence, and leaves you feeling like you’ve made a real difference. The pace can be full‑on in the best way, keeping you sharp, engaged, and never standing still. There’s a strong sense of purpose in what you do, backed by a supportive culture where people care about doing things properly and looking after each other. With plenty of room to grow and develop, the mix of pace, variety, and meaningful work makes it a place where you can thrive.

Cons

The pace can be demanding, with limited opportunities to slow down or step back during busy periods. Priorities can shift quickly, requiring strong adaptability and the ability to stay organised under pressure.
