Pros

It's an established public and profitable company. There are many positive initiatives. However, the company lacks the strategic planning on the co-working amongst the departments.

Cons

Very unstable company. The staff turn over is extremely high, particular in the digital/IT devision.

Micromanagement

Pros

Excellent benefits structure, learning opportunities and career development

Cons

There is a real toxic micromanagement culture which starts at the top and flows down. The CEO micromanages his Senior Leadership Team despite entrusting them in a high profile role. He wants to be in the detail of things which should not concern him creating huge strategic bottlenecks and SLT then feel disempowered and in turn have to micromanage downwards. This is inefficient and causes a really toxic culture.

Underpaid and pushed too hard

Pros

Every day is different, given your own van.

Cons

Underpaid. Pushed so hard to meet KPIs that members often don’t get the correct service. Unsociable hours, constantly phoned by resourcing asking for more hours. Spend more of the day battling with the office to try and get the member the level of service they actually deserve.
