Pros

The cases you will take are incredibly interesting and the people you work with are incredibly bright. Compensation is high end. There are opportunities to improve your skill set and you have a better shot at making partner than at many firms of comparable quality.

Cons

Clients expect the world of QE, given the high-profile cases that they retain QE for, and attorneys have to work hard to meet their expectations.

There can be a lot of down time. Good benefits. Can be good experience.

Cons

There can be a lot of down time. Pay is low. No growth or incentive to work harder than what you are compensated for. They add attorneys to your team without notice or compensation.

Pros

Can't think of anything that is pro employees. Company is very stingy and pay scale is way below market rate. Most support staff are subpar and lazy. Technology is subpar (company does not have an intranet page, despite its size and number of offices worldwide)

Cons

Too many to list -- from culture to attitude (politics of vicious and secret control) of SF management and level of education of old timers.
