      Pros

      Biggest pond in the area, if you want to associate with the best and brightest technically in the Santa Barbara/Ventura area, QAD is where you belong. Tons of autonomy and flexibility. For most roles, you are trusted as a responsible adult professional to get the job done as you find best. Fantastic, friendly, sharp people to learn from and work with.

      Cons

      Company is stagnant, no opportunities to move upward. Must be in management to move up, there is no long term career path for tech-only track. Owners run it like a private mom/pop shop even though it's a public company, so you get the worst of both worlds in this aspect.

      Pros

      If you can stay under the radar of top management you may like working here. The diverse multicultural employee base makes it interesting and educational, benefits are average, environment beautiful, and semi flexible work hours with 50 hour work weeks.. Strategic direction is communicated weekly to management which is nice.

      Cons

      Loyalty to employees is definately old-school thinking and most days you are worried you may lose your job... layoffs seem to happen quarterly and even the brightest are dismissed with ease. Salaries are low unless you are management level. Promotions and raises are rare.
