      Pros

      If you work out of Santa Barbara, the HQ is beautiful. Global Organization with great colleagues. People seems willing to help, but not to go the extra yard. The majority of the employee base really wants to help the company to be successful

      Cons

      The best accounts are assigned to those that are part of the clique, which is the group of employees who Karl Lopker (CEO) likes. QAD's customer base is shrinking, and its efforts to grow its SaaS/On-Demand business are half-hearted. QAD's existing customer base is being eaten alive by SAP and ORCL. Senior executives and department heads "manage" by reacting to CEO's spur-of-the-moment and frequently unrealistic demands.

      Pros

      QAD provided a great working environment. The location is beautiful, with free breakfast and lunches. They appear to care about employee satisfaction and work on a system of merit where they attempt to keep good employees and get rid of poor performers. They provide management training across the organisation (even to non-managers) which has a positive impact on management style and encourages mentoring.

      Cons

      Because of the poor economy and their willingness to downsize when necessary, there does appear to be a lot of turnover which is sometimes refreshing but at other times depressing.
