Stuck in their ways

Pros

If you’re considering suicide, working here will help you make up your mind.

Cons

Management does the complete opposite of management. If you have an opinion, best keep it to yourself because if you are not on the same page as your management, you are a cancer that will be cut out. The organization does not innovate at all the and the software is generations behind. This company will continue to live off of maintenance dollars and will never be a leader in the space. Starting out this may be a good option since management literally lives and breathes down your neck with constant direction, but as you progress and grow forget about having your management grow with you, they will constantly baby you and never adapt. This company is the literal definition of adapt or die, surprised it has not died yet. The workforce is multiple gereations of insestual lineage that keep getting hired because mommy and daddy know people. If you ever have the misfortune of working in one of the offices that's not Santa Barbara, you might as well start to pay for counseling as they are the most depressing places to work.

Pros

Work from home or from remote location.

Cons

Many managers and team leads are incompetent and ineffective at managing projects and people. Most managers are promoted from within, but many lack the most basic people and management skills required. Favoritism dictates who gets promoted far more than those given for hard work and expertise. Providing constructive feedback or alternative ideas to current projects and plans are not favored or welcomed, nor will it aid in advancing your career and/or employment. Salary increases are not given based on one's contributions or merit, but rather divided into tiny, pathetic amounts so that all employees receive "something".

Pros

They allow work from home for Sr. positions.

Cons

Low salaries. Men get promoted more than women.
