Pros

- Relaxed Atmosphere - Most trainers are very friendly and knowledgable about their area - The training is very comprehensive when it comes to covering the fundamentals of programming and software development

Cons

- Training is unpaid for 3 months (offered private accommodation in Manchester or a small bursary) - If you quit after the 4 week cooling period but before the end of your two year contract, hefty fee of £12k for 'training purposes' - During the training period it is unlikely that you will actually receive any formal accreditation, you may however sit an examination for an accreditation while on placement with a client. - The salary isn't competitive; you may be placed in an expensive area like Surrey or London which a small bonus of £60 per week on top of your annual salary of £23k. - The training does not present £12k of value in my opinion.

Pros

Offices are clean. Relaxed uniform standard.

Cons

Push unrealistic sales targets which would only be made realistic by placing apprentices in poor learning environments. The sales targets and poor environments are reflected in the Delivery team's outlook of the sales team. Marketing do not source any leads for the sales teams. The CEO has a plan to double the size of the business over the next few years. For QAA the only way they are planning on doing this is by increasing targets, nothing to support these increases.

Pros

There are still some great people. Sadly, the company is bleeding talent and keeps employing new 'managers' instead of actual specialists in the field.

Cons

It is not going well. The financial situation seems difficult as no pay rises given this year. Very high caseloads and unrealistic deadlines. Blame culture and poor communication. No promotion opportunities. The only way to get a better role is to leave and come back. Culture and inclusivity looks great on paper. In real life it takes ages to get anything approved.
