Pros

- Reasonable expenses paid for significant amount of time forced away from home and travelling (which wasn't mentioned in the job description or interview...)

Cons

- Bullying culture, where employees are publicly ridiculed, criticised and belittled. Querying this culture led to further bullying and/or, "you need to toughen up" - People were frequently fired in public. - We were consistently told we were lazy or not working hard enough, when we were working hard. - When we interviewed and trained, we were told that the sales process was consultative - that we would be given time to match the right apprentice with the right employer (and that this was more important for long-term sustainability and return business: obviously...): the reality, however, was my manager frequently making statements such as, "just make them take anyone, I need my commission" and "he's just 18 he doesn't know what employer is right for him: make him take the job so we meet target" -- this is an awful attitude, and one which has the potential to damage the futures of young people looking for apprenticeship roles. - We were repeatedly lied to about how our commission payments worked, and the goalposts were constantly moved to ensure that we were repeatedly denied previously-promised money. - No sick pay

Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. We are disappointed to hear your comments and will be exploring this further to ensure we are clear on the issues you have raised. We pride ourselves in creating a culture which is supportive, friendly and open; therefore your experience is certainly against the norm. As with any leaver process, whether the decision of the employee or for performance issues, this must and does always follow a process to ensure that those that leave us do so in the most positive way. The situation you mention would not have happened without prior warning, performance reviews and regular feedback - and, importantly, would have been conducted in privacy. We pride ourselves, not only the service we offer both Apprenticeship employers and Apprentices alike, but also the importance we put towards supporting younger generations in their early careers. Regarding our commission pay structure, we provide challenging but achieveable targets and always ensure that those who work hard are rewarded. We hope this offers some reassurance, and wish you the best of luck in your future career.

Pros

This box states I must leave 20 words. I don't have 20 positive words. QA Apprenticeships took me on in a graduate scheme, what an absolute waste of time.

Cons

I was taken on as part of a graduate scheme. 24 graduates, promised mentoring, training and a "consultative" sales environment where the client comes first. Working to place young people into apprenticeship roles, we were told that we would make a real difference to their futures and would be given the time and space to do the right thing for both apprentice and client. What absolute lies. All you really need to know is that, 6 months after the start of the graduate scheme only 8 of the 24 graduates were left working there. Several were actually fired in public - I assume to deliberately scare us. We spent all our time cold-calling, having our calls listened to and criticised. Constant public put-downs were made and we were subjected to content notices from higher management saying that we were lazy and not working hard enough or criticising the fact that we were "letting the employers make the decisions on the sales process" - even though we were working incredibly hard. Several times, when an employer felt a young person wasn't right for them, my manager said, "make them take that person: I need my commission" This was the whole outlook of the company - money before integrity. But they had lured us in on a false promise. As graduates, we were not entitled to sick pay, and were told that we were "expected" to work through lunch breaks and stay late every day. We had targets that were much higher than non-graduate colleagues and for the privilege, we were paid several thousand pounds a year less. I was consistently blamed for mistakes made by colleagues and told they were my fault (when they weren't) or that I was 'over-reacting' (but then publically told off for the consequences) This company is fundamentally dishonest. If you have no morals it's the right place for you.

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. As with any feedback, we must assure you that the points you make will be addressed and brought to the attention of leadership teams so that this is followed up directly. We would however like to address some of the comments you make as we deem these outside of our expectations. As with any leaver process, whether the decision of the employee or for performance issues, this must and does always follow a process to ensure that those that leave us do so in the most positive way. We have a performance management and appraisal process in place which must be followed, and the situation you mention would not have happened without prior warning, performance reviews and regular feedback - and also conducted in privacy. As part of Graduate training, it may be the case that calls are initially listened into and we do encourage constructive feedback to ensure we are developing the skills of our Graduates as well as ensuring the consistent high quality services to our clients. Placements with employers must meet the criteria of their entry requirements, and under no circumstances would we or our partnering employers accept candidates who are not suitable or do not meet these. Work/Life balance is encouraged from all levels of the business, and every employee should ensure they proactively take up their breaks and leave at a suitable time. There may be periods, as with any role, where work load is higher at some times however given the nature of your role it is unlikely that working late would be encouraged due to employers and candidates not being contactable out of standard working hours. Entry level roles are generally paid slightly lower than those with experience, due to ongoing training and the number of responsibilities an employee has at this stage of your career. However, we would encourage you to always take ownership of your own development and highlight early how you would like to progress further - your line manager will always support you in achieving this. Much like any role you will be or have moved on to we would always encourage you to speak to your HR advisor should you have any concerns. We wish you success in your career

Pros

Absolutely NO pros. Disgusting company to work for. They treat their employees like sheep and will before youre contract end, swindle all your money back. DO NOT make thr same mistake and DO NOT TRUST them!!

Cons

Absolute scammers. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!! 12 week training programme was outlined as world class. The trainers do not care and the course material you can find all over the internet. I learnt nothing more or less than what i already knew. This concern was outlined by all my colleagues after the training. The contract they make you sign is a massive SCAM. 2 year contract if you leave or fired within 2 years you will have to pay back £12k training fees. And trust me when i say the training isnt even worth £1k. They will wait till the last few months of your contract to fire most people and they will end up paying back £12k without cause. They even rob you of your last month's payment!!!! They send you a pdf of the last payslip, and all your net pay is deducted to training costs without your consent or knowledge. The whole process and individuals there are cogs in a massive money making schemes where you they prey, not only on the weakest of sheep, but they pray upon most people who sign the contract. They never portray any feedback and will fire you on the spot. They will be quick to send out the outstanding £12k training fee letter however, every other information will be with held from you untill youre too deep into the hole to realise your massive mistake!!!. PLEASE do not make the same mistake. Many of us made. Trust me....and the other 100+ people they have scammed out of money and time. AVOID QA Consulting!!!!!!!

We are disappointed to receive your feedback, and as we believe the comments are not in line with our processes or the experience we wish our Consultants to have, we would like to offer you some further clarity on a few of the points you have made. Our training is widely recognised in the industry and provides those who are joining entry level roles with a fast track to a career that would otherwise take signifiicantly longer to reach within normal routes. This means that our Consultants are able to work effectively with high profile clients within months. That said, as a business, in order to provide this training to you we do also require commitment (much like other Graduate programmes) to stay with us for at least the 2 year period you mention and this is made clear in your contract. We are unaware of, and would not allow for, the dismissal of employees in the way you have stated. We have a performance management and appraisal process in place which must be followed, and the situation you mention would not have happened without prior warning, performance reviews and regular feedback - and also conducted in privacy. Please be assured that we do take any feedback like this seriously, and will be exploring all points as follow up. Much like any role you will be or have moved on to we would always encourage you to speak to your HR advisor should you have any concerns. We wish you success in your career.
