Pros

Some individual team members are nice

Cons

Management ignore issues in organisation in order to be able to do what they want Workload is incredibly high for no recognition, a low salary and a complete lack of respect from management Not worth working at if you’re not in senior management Senior management don’t seem capable of thinking through business initiatives before implementing them If they realise they aren’t paying roles highly enough, they don’t fix this unless it directly effects someone in senior management I’ve witnessed multiple counts of discrimination

Pros

1. They train you and give you the knowledge necessary to work in the IT industry even if you begin with little knowledge. 2. Wide range of training courses to take during the work year which they pay for. 3. I am able to work from home almost always (1 day a month in office), this may vary depending on where they deploy you but they will fight for this benefit. Example: The company I am currently working for wants staff to be in office 2 days a week but QA was able to keep my current perk of 1 day a month. 4. They are able to get you much more competitive salaries in comparison to the actual employees of the company you are based at.

Cons

1. While you can get good qualifications at QA, they only offer up to level 4 SFIA. This is a hinderence for anyone that wants to stay at the company a long time and progress further up into more management roles.

Pros

Get deployed to a better company after training, who will hopefully buy you out of your contract. Low barrier to entry

Cons

Training was dreadful You realise very quickly how underpaid you are compared to the people at the company you are deployed to. No ongoing support.
