Pros

Some of the people are fun to work with, and you can learn some things.

Cons

This workplace is one of the most awful, toxic, environments I've encountered, and it's rife with ageism. Their motto revolves around "building relationships," essentially meaning you're expected to cozy up to countless partners just to get noticed – an impossible feat considering most are solely focused on only accepting others who can help advance their own careers. Despite being praised all year and receiving positive quarterly reviews from other managers, they blindside you during performance evaluations, making baseless accusations you've never even heard of. If everyone values your work, how does a negative review make sense? Their EOY roundtables are a joke and seem like only their "favorites" get the good ratings and recognition. It's all about popularity and playing by their rules, rules most of us aren't privy to. We're just hardworking individuals looking for recognition. Honestly, I cannot recommend this place. There are just too many toxic personalities lurking about, and it's high time they're called out.

Politics, politics and more politics

Pros

Amazing benefits and decent PTO policy. Allows work from home (even prior to Covid)). Some really nice, decent people, but they don’t stay long.

Cons

Politics rule at PwC. Hard work? Doesn’t matter. Masters Degree? Doesn’t matter. They pride themselves of D&I initiatives but at the end of the day it’s all about which clique you’re in with and who you know. I’ve seen qualified candidates not get a chance bc the job went to someone who had a connection within the firm. Promotions are given based on politics and work ethic and results have zero to do with anything. It’s sad because I think PwC truly could be the great place to work for that they claim to be, but promoting based on politics is just going to continue to hurt while other firms pass us by.

Stood during Pandemic

Pros

During the Pandemic the company had declared salary cut for the partners/ED but they didn't allow any job loss or salary cut for the employees. In Kolkata the leaders stood behind every employee during medical emergency. Even senior leaders volunteered to help the employees. Once the situation became better they announced hike and also promotions. During the tough time they gave half month of salary as thank you bonus. After this year hike they surprised us by providing thousands of vouchers. The leaders always shown empathy and also helped the community.

Cons

The work pressure is higher in any consulting firm and this is also not different. But seniors encourages to learn new technology.
