Pros

Lively fun environment, the job isn't rocket science although they do keep making it harder. Easy to manage PT teams as they are self employed. UK's leading affordable gym chain so better to work for than most of the competitors.

Cons

Depending on your clubs location it can be difficult to recruit PT's which means you will end up doing the classes and shifts yourself, this will take you away from promoting your club and increasing sales so you won't get your bonus. You are given little help from your managers to aid recruitment.

Toxic Environment

Pros

Unfortunately there isn’t any to add

Cons

An absolute toxic bullying environment, you’re just a glorified cleaner and are frowned upon and overlooked if you don’t help clean other clubs or if you have an opinion. RMs are allowed to bully anyone and hr cover for them as well as certain directors! This was factually told to me by an RM who is actually one of the racist bully’s who doesn’t do any work and is clueless. HR turnover is high and their common excuse to support a complaint is “they aren’t aware of anything” or if a manager makes a complaint against someone lower grade they state “we can’t take on your complaint as it’s unprecedented” which means they don’t want to deal with anything unless you are weak and lacking in confidence then they come for you! PT’s are allowed to do as they please as well as be aggressive and HR also allow it! Staff security and safety in gyms are consistently being raised but the powers above and HR ignore it and fail to support managers when they raise their concerns. Bad member behaviours are at an all time high but you aren’t allowed to raise this when you have investor visits as you have to pretend everything is great and your club always looks amazing and there’s never any issues! It’s money/revenue over staff wellbeing.
