Pros

Access to many members that are potential clients. Equipment is good enough for training 'normal' people.

Cons

Rent is too expensive £550/month, no support for self-employed PTs though you still have to pay the licence fee (£240/yr) and wear the uniform just like their employed individuals who get paid £450 and pay the same £550 in rent.

Pros

Meeting new people that’s it.

Cons

Disgraceful they abuse their staff. Make you do more than you can physically do! They also make you work on shifts alone..For 8 hours especially on the weekend. There’s no one there you can’t leave the building. You don’t get paid to do classes and force to do classes you don’t teach or can’t teach. Made to clean toilets, changing rooms, showers etc. Our contract says 1 hour break but we get half an hour. You don’t get sick pay or paid for extra hours. I really hope that PureGYM get shut down as a Fitness Coach I feel abused and slaved. And anytime i refuse or put my foot down it gets disregarded.

Pros

Some great people in the gym, if you enjoy fitness you can meet some great people and change lives (but this is in your own business not working for puregym)

Cons

-15 hours unpaid work - When I first started this could be used to build your business but when new management took over it was 3 hours of cleaning and 2 hours of classes. -No sick pay or time off (If you cannot do a shift rest assured you will have to make it back) -Poor treatment by management who behave like they are above you. -Management have favourites who they will pass the leads on to, if they don't take them and train them theirselves. -Very high staff turnover. -Unhappy workforce. -Shifts will be changed without consideration to the trainers personal obligations.
