Pros
Training course provided Doesn’t require brain power
Cons
Everything. You don’t really get paid because you have to pay rent back to pure gym to PT. Depending on the gym, the rent is often more than what you get paid. Management doesn’t care about you, you’re just a number. You get assigned classes that you may not necessarily want to teach. The management will often make you teach multiple classes back to back with no rest. If you work in a pure gym with low income members then you’ll earn pennies because no one wants a PT. You have to work 12 hours as a fitness coach where you don’t get paid then you’re expected to work outside of those hours as a self employed PT to actually make money. You’re expected to do all the dirty work in the gym, cleaning, moving stock, etc, bear in mind you’re not actually getting paid. You’re essentially a glorified cleaner that doesn’t get paid. Manager at the pure gym I worked in is a bully, that constantly got protected by Pure Gym despite several PTs making complaints.
