Both management and employees are committed people Quality products Relations with line managers based on honesty and fairness Good work is recognized and rewarded

Cons

Need a link with HQ in Milan in order to progress out of local site. Local managers or HR people have little influence or willingness to promote good people, because they know they would lose good people. International mobility is limited to people that are already quite high up.

Prysmian Fiber Cables was a great place to work during the telecom/broadband boom time.

Pros

Excellent cost control is Prysmian's key to competitive positioning among other manufacturers of fiber optic cable. They are really professional at managing costs yet still getting the job done.

Cons

During slow growth periods of the telcos and CATV MSOs, Prysmian is prone to layoff lower level employees.
