Pros

Many nice people work for Providence and want to make a difference. They are finally going to upgrade the bathrooms and kitchens at the Murray Business Center and have made changes to the horrible parking lot.

Cons

We are told we need to bring in more revenue to support our department, however lack of staff has our clients very unhappy and leaving us. Our revenue model has been changed to a model that will take a very long time to see more money coming in, if it ever does. We don't have enough staff to make the changes fast enough, and keep our customers happy at the same time. Work just goes undone. Everyone walks around in a daze trying to cope with more priorities than they can handle. Health Plans grew too fast, little attention paid to the people supporting the growth and actually doing the work, with departments not directly related to new health plan products getting the short end of everything. If you gripe, they say maybe you should look for another job. Hey I would if I had the time but I have to work WAY more than 40 hours a week (without compensation). Should I endanger my present job to look for another?

Pros

There have been great staff to work for tg at are dedicated to excellence in patient care.

Cons

The focus of executive leadership has shifted from the mission of the sisters to the financial bottom line. Providence niw only gives lip service with regard to valuing employees when in the past they truly honored and respected employees.

Pros

It was a great company when I first started there many years ago. The pay is good, the atmosphere is relaxed. The parking was free and close to my home. There are many good employees there.

Cons

Once you are there a long time, they find a way to get rid of you. They know they can get someone in for a lot less money. Many, many have been fired for bogus reasons that put in a lot of years with them. The managers are awful. Most of them have no idea what they are doing. They won't promote you. They have taken away so many benefits. I guess because they have to pay for Providence Park now!
