Pros

Most people here are nice and willing to help. The benefits are great. The new CEO has brought a lot of clarity and a clear direction, which was somewhat lacking before, at least in my area of product development. The organization has a lot of momentum and is growing quickly. I enjoy fast-paced environments; having worked in tech before, I love having a vast product development pipeline and the resources to deliver. I feel our tech stack has improved considerably over the last couple of years. We are making great strides in AI, and it's rewarding to see the profession getting excited about what PMI provides to them in this area. My manager is awesome! Very diverse leadership team.

Cons

Some processes slow us down without adding any value. There are a few individuals who are here just to coast, using the excuse that 'it's a non-profit organization,' and they make no secret of it. This wouldn't bother me so much if it didn't impact my work and my team. I've observed meetings where over twenty people are in attendance, even though only a few are truly necessary. Although I appreciate the ability to work remotely, sometimes the lack of physical proximity makes product development more challenging. Some managers should not be allowed to manage people.

Thanks for your review! We agree that our benefits are great, and that our virtual-first organization makes PMI a great place to work. We also recognize that being virtual makes it a bit harder to connect with people – that’s why we’ve been hard at work to introduce even more ways for our teams to connect online and in-person, including meetups, events, digital platforms like Viva Engage, and encouraging teams to connect outside of “the office.”
