Pros

Remote (WFH) Benefits because it’s classified as not for profit org

Cons

My first 12 months had a full team turnover (2 full time employees, 1 contractor, and my manager). When the team offered qualified individuals for manager position, no one from PMI called or would return calls about the position. 2 weeks after the position was posted, and without anyone asking the input of the team, a first time manager was put in place that had 0 experience in marketing. This person was given the position because of their friendships built with upper management while at previous orgs before coming to PMI. This is not an abnormality with PMI either, turnover happens all the time. I was also told to buy in to a new PMI strategy that would inevitably be the reason for a reorg and my (along with others) eventual layoff. HR is a mess. From on boarding to being laid off it felt like the person in charge of helping me was needing as much help as I did. When I asked about HR related questions, most times it was met with little to no aid.

Chaotic

Pros

The compensation and flexibility (fully remote) were great!

Cons

The expectations were incredibly inconsistent. Communication from leadership was unclear and downright cruel at times. Hands-off approach when help or guidance was needed, micromanaging when being tasked with an assignment we should independently handle.
